Flag Hoisting at South West Convent
On the occasion of Republic Day, a cultural program was organized at South West Convent located in Sonegaon. The chief guests of the ceremony were Pradeep Sappe and Pramod Joshi. During the program, the children presented patriotic songs such as “Desh Rangila” and “Jai Ho,” giving wonderful performances. During the event, the guests hoisted the national flag on the school premises.

Explaining the importance of environmental balance and greenery, the children of Bal Gopala conveyed the message of environmental awareness and greenery at South West Convent, Sonegaon. Actively participating in the program, the children not only dressed up as trees but also created beautiful green-themed graphics and prepared various projects. They also shared their suggestions and thoughts on the “Green Revolution.”
On this occasion, parents planted saplings and shared their views on the importance of trees. All the children, parents, and teachers wore green attire and took a pledge to spread more greenery in the surroundings.
Principal Seema Sontakke highlighted the significance of greenery and discussed the impact of reduced greenery on life and the environment. She inspired everyone to plant trees in their homes, courtyards, neighborhoods, and workplaces. She said that the color green symbolizes prosperity and freshness. Planting trees is essential to care for the environment, and preserving greenery is everyone’s responsibility.
Jyoti Pohane, Varsha, Shashank, along with many teachers and parents, were present at the program.
The program was conducted by Pranjal and Manisha, and Subha Ma’am expressed the vote of thanks.
